We had an amazing first three days of school. Your children already have a special place in my heart and I am so excited for the school year. To help you keep on top of what we are doing in class, I will be posting what we will do every week. Here you will find what we are working on in Math, ELA, and other going ons in our class. I will also post important dates that you will need to remember.

If you haven’t yet please fill out the food permission form, sign the class disclosure agreement, sign the SEL form, and pay the $35.00 class donation to the office. If you could make sure all those things are done that would be great. 🙂. ONLINE PAYMENTS

IMPORTANT DATES:

• Wed. August 28th – Elementary Picture Day
• Fri. August 30th – NO SCHOOL (Professional Development Day)
• Mon. September 2nd – Labor Day-NO SCHOOL

MATH: We will be starting our math unit this week. We will be reviewing 2nd grade material and that will give me an idea of what your child knows before we jump into 3rd grade standards. We will also be taking our I-Ready math diagnostics over the course of the week.

ELA: This week we will be working on Unit 1 Week 1 in our Wonders program. Below is an outline of what we are learning in class. Out of the listed skills and strategies we’ll focus on asking and answering questions to identify the author’s purpose.

First Week of School!

I can hardly believe that the first day of school is TOMORROW!! I loved getting to see you and your kids last night. This is going to be a great year!

Please make sure to check the blog consistently for updates on important dates, activities, and what we are learning in class!

Tonight is Back to School Night!  

Classroom presentations begin at 6:00pm and will be held every half hour until 8:00pm. Please come to whichever presentation works for you. 

I will be shutting the door during each session. If the door is shut when you arrive I encourage you to wait for the next session. However, you are still welcome to come in and join the session if you are unable to wait. I am looking forward to meeting all of you and working with you throughout this school year!

Classroom Donation Pay your student’s classroom donation by clicking on the link under the “Donations- Class Supplies” area.  I have already purchased all of your students supplies they will need for the year. Please do not send additional supplies as they will be returned.

 **Donation DOES NOT include personal over the ear headphones, which should be purchased and brought on the first day of school.**

Food Permission Form In accordance with Quest’s wellness policy all students must receive written permission from their parent/guardian to consume any food items in the classroom.  Please fill out the above linked form to give your student permission. 

Class Disclosure Statement Please read with your student and fill out the form. 

Please read and sign for our grant for our social and emotional learning program, this will go out three times a year: SEL Survey Permission Form
