Week of October 21st

 I hope that everyone enjoyed their fall break! I know that I did. I also want to thank all of you that were able to attend parent teacher conferences! I loved getting to meet with you. I really am so lucky to be your children’s teacher. You have some wonderful kids!

  • November 1 – NO SCHOOL (Professional Development Day)

MATH – This week we will work on lesson 8. We will use grouping to make multiplication easier to solve. Please make sure that you are practicing the multiplication facts with your child at home.


ELA: This week we will be working on Unit 2 Week 3 in our Wonders program. Below is an outline of what we are learning in class. Our emphasis will be on making predictions and identifying theme.

Week of October 14th

UTAH RISE TRAINING TEST



This week during our ELA block we are going to be starting the Utah RISE Training Test. We do this as a whole class to learn how to use the RISE testing system in order to be successful during the practice tests. Making sure we are ready to review and prepare for end of year testing later on. If you have any questions about the training and/or practice tests please let me know!

  • October 16-18 – Fall Break – NO SCHOOL

MATH: This week we are will be reviewing lesson 6 that we covered last week. Below is the family letter explaining how I teach this lesson and it includes an activity that helps with this skill. If you would like to give your child extra practice with multiplication, this activity would be an excellent option to use.

Week of October 7th

 HALLOWEEN PARTY  HELP NEEDED!!!

I am looking for a few brave souls who can help us with our Halloween Party. I am hoping to get at least 5 volunteers. Please contact me via email and let know if you can help. Our party time will be from 10:00ish-11:20 (start and end times are dependent on when the parade ends).
